An Interview w/Charles Chapman

For those of you that don’t know me, you should know that I rarely get excited when I meet someone whom one might consider “famous.” I’m not the sort of person that seeks out autographs, or even photos with these sorts of people. Mostly I just shrug and move on. But there are a few that I have always wanted too meet and Charles Chapman is one of them.

Who is Charles Chapman? He was the first African American to swim The English Channel, and my number one inspiration for becoming a marathon swimmer.

I had the honor of hosting Charles back in 2011 at my home in San Francisco, and he graciously allowed me to interview him about his marathon swimming exploits. I hope you all find it as inspiring as I did, and please feel free to share it!
