Welcome fellow Dead Kennedys! For some reason known only to God and my cat, Mrs. Chippy, I decided to chronicle my journey of becoming a marathon swimmer. Most swimmers in the open water community would say that there not fast: "Me? No, I'm middle of the pact at best. I'm not fast."
They're lying!
Folks, I'm not fast, not even close, in fact I'm slower than slow, but that doesn't stop me from doing distance swims and it shouldn't stop you either! So if your a slowpoke like me, and your usually DFL (Dead F**king Last) then this blog is for you.
I'll be sharing my own journey as I prepare for swims. I'll highlight the good, the bad, and the ugly, highs, lows, in-betweens, just a above pathetic, around the corner, the...well you get then point.
So come join me as we take a magical, salty ride in the open water marathon swim world. This blog is primarily for really slow aspirants, but if you speed demons benefit from it, so much the better.
All are welcome. And remember our motto: "We'll get there when we get there!"
